Fire at Hillcrest Strip Mall Leaves Two Firefighters Injured and Businesses Devastated

In the early hours of Shabbos morning, a fire broke out at a strip mall in Hillcrest, causing significant damage to three businesses and resulting in injuries to two firefighters. The Rockland County fire coordinator reported that despite the valiant efforts of the Hillcrest Fire Company, the blaze ravaged several establishments.

Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene, with the Hillcrest Fire Company commencing their efforts at approximately 3:41 a.m. Although faced with heavy flames, the firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent stores, despite encountering the setback of an inoperable fire hydrant nearby.
