Finkelstein Memorial Library Launches “Library Littles” Early Literacy Program for Babies and Toddlers

The Finkelstein Memorial Library is inviting parents and caregivers to take part in its new Library Littles series — a set of free, fun, and educational programs designed to help the youngest members of the community develop early literacy skills.

The series includes the nationwide initiative “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten,” which encourages parents to read regularly with their children. Families track the books they read and return the completed logs to the library to receive milestone prizes. Books read during storytime sessions at the library also count toward the total.

In addition to this program, Library Littles offers weekly storytimes geared specifically for babies and toddlers, featuring songs, stories, and interactive activities to foster language development and a lifelong love of reading.

All programs are free and open to the public, with no registration required.
More information — including details about the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten initiative — can be found by scanning the QR code on the library’s flyer or visiting the Finkelstein Memorial Library.
