Final Day of NYS Aerial Operations Course Held at Rockland Fire Training Center

This past weekend marked the conclusion of the New York State Aerial Operations course at the Rockland County Fire Training Center. Over several weeks, students dedicated a total of 45 hours to intensive, hands-on training in operating aerial apparatus.

The course covered everything from setup procedures to critical safety protocols, equipping participants with the skills needed to effectively and safely operate ladder trucks during emergency responses. Each session featured three to four ladder trucks from various local fire departments, offering students the opportunity to work with different equipment — a key component in fostering mutual aid and interdepartmental coordination.
