In a move that promises to bring smiles to the faces of children and families, Rockland County Executive Ed Day, alongside key officials, has given the green light for a significant upgrade to the beloved Haverstraw Bay Park Playground. This eagerly anticipated project, with a budget of $192,000, will focus on resurfacing and modernizing the playground’s rubber surfacing.
The dedicated team behind this initiative includes Purchasing Director Paul Brennan, Division of Environmental Resources Parks Operations Manager Michael DiMola, and ARPA Director Jenna Nazario, all of whom have championed this project to enhance the park experience for the community.
Starting from September 25th, portions of the Haverstraw Bay Park Playground will temporarily close to facilitate these much-needed renovations. The aim is to have the project completed by later this Fall, ensuring that local children and their families can enjoy an improved and safer playground environment.
With this commitment to enhancing recreational facilities, Rockland County continues to prioritize the well-being and enjoyment of its residents, especially its youngest members. Stay tuned for updates as the Haverstraw Bay Park Playground transformation takes shape, promising countless hours of fun and play for generations to come.
