Elevated Fire Risk in Rockland County: Burn Ban in Effect Through May 14

The County of Rockland is urging residents to exercise caution as the Hudson Valley remains under an elevated fire risk due to ongoing dry conditions.

A New York State burn ban is currently in effect through May 14, prohibiting all open burning. Open burning is the leading cause of wildfires in New York State.

Residents should remain alert and report any wildfires by calling 1-833-NYS-RANGERS (1-833-697-7264).
