The East Ramapo Central School District Board of Education has announced the appointment of Anthony DiCarlo as the interim superintendent of schools, effective July 1.
DiCarlo brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having retired in June 2022 after a successful tenure as superintendent of schools in the Mahopac Central School District. During his four years at Mahopac, DiCarlo was recognized for his leadership and dedication to educational excellence.
Before his time in Mahopac, DiCarlo served as principal of Trinity Elementary School in the New Rochelle City School District, where he was known for his commitment to student success and innovative educational strategies.
In addition to his extensive background in education, DiCarlo has also contributed to his community through public service. He has served as a Putnam County legislator and as a councilman for the town of Carmel, demonstrating a strong dedication to public service and community development.
The East Ramapo Central School District Board of Education expressed confidence in DiCarlo’s ability to lead the district during this transitional period, citing his vast experience and proven track record in educational administration.
