Early Morning Blaze in Airmont: Rapid Response by Ramapo Police and Fire Departments Averts Disaster, Investigation Underway

In the early hours of Monday morning, a fire broke out in a shed on Cherry Lane near South Lorna Lane in Airmont. Ramapo Police Officers acted swiftly, ensuring the house’s evacuation, while fire departments from Tallman, Suffern, and Mahwah worked together to contain the blaze, resulting in minimal damage to the nearby house. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries during the incident.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Ramapo Police Detective Bureau and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI).
