Tolls on the Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge will increase by 50 cents starting January, bringing the cost for E-ZPass users to $6.75. By 2027, the toll will reach $7.75 as part of a series of annual increases.
For E-ZPass users, there are ways to offset the rising costs. Vehicles registered in Rockland or Westchester counties with an E-ZPass will receive a $6 discount. Additionally, frequent E-ZPass users making at least 20 trips per month can save up to 40% on their tolls.
This upcoming increase represents the second of four planned 50-cent hikes, with adjustments continuing through 2027. Drivers using Tolls by Mail or operating commercial vehicles will face higher rates.
While tolls on the Cuomo Bridge will rise, rates across the New York State Thruway’s 570-mile system will remain stable for now. A 5% increase is planned for 2027, following the same percentage hike implemented in 2024.
