An accident occurred involving a dump truck that overturned on Route 17 close to the New York State Thruway Overpass and the Chestnut Ridge Transportation Bus Parking Garage.
It appears the dump truck had its hoist open, which led to it striking the overpass and subsequently overturning. The driver suffered minor injuries.
Emergency personnel, including Ramapo Police, Spring Hill EMS, New York State Police, New York State Thruway Authority, and Hillburn Fire Department, are currently at the scene.
