DEVELOPING: Ramapo Police & Chaverim of Rockland Investigating After Two Jewish Victims Assaulted in Separate Incidents; Hatzoloh Transports Two to Hospital

Two members of the Jewish community were violently assaulted in two separate, unrelated incidents just moments apart on Wednesday afternoon, prompting a major response from Ramapo Police, Chaverim of Rockland, and Hatzoloh EMS.

In the first incident, a Jewish man driving on the Garden State Parkway exited onto Summit Avenue in Chestnut Ridge when the suspect, described as an African American male, reportedly opened the victim’s car door and brutally assaulted him inside his vehicle.

Just minutes later, the same suspect, driving a red BMW, pulled into Airmont on Rustic Drive. As he stopped, he reportedly punched a Jewish teenager in the face, then continued into his nearby driveway.

Emergency personnel quickly converged on both scenes. Hatzoloh EMS transported both victims, the man and the teenager, to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment, while Ramapo Police and Chaverim of Rockland launched an active investigation.

Sources tell Monsey Scoop that this is not the first time the suspect has assaulted a Jewish individual. A previous incident took place several weeks ago, with charges only recently signed.

At this time, the motive for today’s attacks remains unclear, whether hate-driven or otherwise, but residents and responders note that this individual has been a serious, ongoing problem.

Ramapo Police have established a perimeter around the suspect’s home as officers continue interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence, and moving toward an arrest.

Monsey Scoop will continue to monitor this developing story and provide updates as they become available.

  1. Sadly it’s a heimish landlord, insisting on keeping this violent and dangerous person in this house right next to many families with young kids. Has been informed many times about the troubling and concerning issues with this individual including domestic violence.

  2. Every second week there is a violent blowout with this guy, this heimish landlord doesn’t care its not on his block and his kids are not in danger. פוי
