DEVELOPING IN SPRING VALLEY: Deceased Man Found in Portable Toilet at North Myrtle Avenue Construction Site

A grim scene unfolded Friday morning when construction workers arriving at a job site on North Myrtle Avenue near Hoyt Street discovered an unresponsive male inside a portable toilet at approximately 7:45 a.m.

Spring Valley Police, Spring Hill EMS, and Rockland Paramedics responded immediately and confirmed the individual was deceased. Sources tell Monsey Scoop that Chevra Kadisha services were not required in this incident.

Spring Valley Police detectives, together with the Rockland County Sheriff’s BCI and the Rockland County Medical Examiner’s Office, spent the morning investigating to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. No additional details regarding the cause, timeline, or identity of the deceased have been released at this time.
