Congressman Mike Lawler’s Office Returns $40 Million to Hudson Valley Constituents

Congressman Mike Lawler announced a major milestone for his district offices’ casework operation, revealing that his team has returned more than $40 million to residents of New York’s Hudson Valley since he took office in January 2023.

The announcement comes on the heels of the office officially closing over 8,000 constituent casework cases in the past week alone.

According to Lawler’s office, the casework team has assisted thousands of families and individuals across Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester counties, helping constituents navigate issues with federal agencies including Social Security, Medicare, veterans’ benefits, immigration services, passports, disaster assistance, and tax-related matters.

“Since taking office, my team and I have worked tirelessly to deliver real results for the people of New York’s 17th District,” Lawler said. “I’m proud to report that we’ve successfully returned over $40 million to our neighbors through casework—helping families, veterans, seniors, and small businesses get the support they deserve. This is what public service is all about: getting things done for the people we represent.”
