Today, Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17) announced that his district offices have achieved a major milestone, closing over 6,000 constituent cases and returning more than $27.2 million to residents of New York’s Hudson Valley since he assumed office in January 2023.
So far in 2025 alone, Lawler’s office has closed 1,082 cases and recovered $2.65 million for constituents. Overall, since the start of his first term, the office has secured a total of $27,208,510.15 for individuals across the district.
“Helping constituents navigate federal agencies is one of the most important parts of our job, and I couldn’t be prouder of the work my team has done,” said Congressman Lawler. “Whether it’s veterans’ benefits, Social Security checks, passports, tax returns, or FEMA assistance, we work every day to cut through the noise and deliver real results for folks in the district.”
The impact of Lawler’s constituent services is being felt across the region. In a March 2025 email, a constituent named Michael from Dutchess County expressed his gratitude for the assistance he received in resolving a complex IRS issue. “Their professionalism, responsiveness, and dedication made a significant difference in resolving the matter efficiently,” Michael wrote. “They were knowledgeable and incredibly supportive throughout the process, ensuring that I received the guidance I needed.”
“This is what public service is all about—being there for people when they need help the most,” Congressman Lawler concluded. “Whether it’s a delayed tax refund, a missing VA benefit, or a stalled immigration case, we fight to make sure our constituents aren’t left behind.”
I don’t believe anything that Republican Congress man is saying, they are all liars like their leaders.The days of voting for these liars are over, our brothers, sisters and neighbors are being laid off in hundreds with no faults of their making, how are these people going to take care of their family, school lunches cut, seniors with healthcare problems are panicking, sick US citizens (children) are being deported and this man has audacity to hail his accomplishment, pathetic, kick them out completely, no more Republican lawmakers, wacks.
