Congressman Mike Lawler and his team recently convened a high-level meeting with Verizon leadership, including senior Hudson Valley executives, alongside municipal directors and major property managers from across Rockland County to address widespread complaints about poor service, persistent dead zones, and connectivity failures.
Residents and officials from multiple townships, including Monsey, have reported unreliable service and significant dead spots, particularly along the Palisades Parkway and other key corridors throughout Rockland County and the greater Hudson Valley region.
According to Congressman Lawler’s office, Verizon acknowledged the breadth of the problem and committed to substantial upgrades. The company stated that customers should begin seeing improvements over the coming months, with major enhancements planned through 2026. These upgrades include the installation of both micro-cell and full-size towers across Rockland County and the Hudson Valley, including new infrastructure that would also improve service in Monsey.
In recent days, however, a severe dead-zone has plagued parts of Monsey, leaving residents with little to no service. Verizon provided the following statement to Congressman Lawler’s office on Friday regarding this week’s outage:
“We are currently having network issues in the area and are working to rectify it. We will provide an update as soon as possible.”
UPDATE: 1:20 PM, Verizon informed Congressman Lawler’s office that they have identified and fixed the issue that caused the major Monsey network disruption over the past two days. Lawler’s office is continuing to work closely with Verizon on the broader, long-term service problems across Rockland County and the Hudson Valley, which Verizon says will see significant improvements through 2026.
Monsey Scoop will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as Verizon rolls out repairs and long-term infrastructure improvements.

What about the dead zones all along Route 306? Route 59 and Route 306 absolute dead zone Viola Road and Route 306 another absolute dead zone.
What about 45 and 202 absolute no signal zone
