Congressman Mike Lawler met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog during Herzog’s visit to the United States, where the two discussed the state of U.S.–Israel relations and the urgent need to confront rising antisemitism.
Lawler said the conversation focused on strengthening the long-standing partnership between the U.S. and Israel while ensuring the safety and security of Jewish communities across the country.
“It was an honor to meet with Israeli President Herzog to discuss United States–Israel relations, and the importance of standing together against the rising tide of antisemitism. We are committed to strengthening the U.S.–Israel partnership and ensuring that Jewish communities here in the United States feel safe, supported, and protected,” Lawler said.
The meeting comes at a time of heightened concern for Jewish communities worldwide, underscoring the continued importance of strong U.S.–Israel cooperation.
