Congressman Mike Lawler Hosts Regional Transit Roundtable With FTA Administrator

Congressman Mike Lawler on Monday convened a transportation roundtable with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Administrator Mark Molinaro, bringing together transit agencies and local officials from across the Hudson Valley to address ongoing challenges, funding needs, and opportunities for regional cooperation.

The meeting included representatives from Rockland, Putnam, and Westchester counties, as well as local municipal transit services such as Clarkstown, Kaser, New Square, and others. Participants discussed strategies to improve service reliability, expand funding opportunities, and ensure transit systems can meet the growing needs of their communities.

“We’re meeting with our local elected officials and transit authorities to discuss the transportation needs of our community and our region, and to find ways to improve services for all of our residents,” Congressman Lawler told Monsey Scoop during the event. “Collaboration is key, and today’s conversation was an important step in addressing challenges and strengthening transit across the district.”
