Congressman Mike Lawler was honored Sunday evening by Camp HASC, recognizing his support of the organization’s mission and his office’s efforts on its behalf.
In remarks following the event, Lawler expressed gratitude to Abe Eisner, Chaskel Bennett, and the Camp HASC family for the recognition, calling the honor “truly humbling.” He highlighted work done by his office last summer to support Camp HASC and the families it serves.
For more than 40 years, Camp HASC has provided children and adults with special needs a joyful and inclusive camp experience, offering medical, therapeutic, and personal care alongside traditional camp activities. Organizers emphasized that the camp is more than a seasonal program—it is a community built on dignity, confidence, and compassion for every camper.
