This morning, Congressman Mike Lawler headlined the Annual Bipartisan Reception and Roundtable at Camp HASC, joined by Congresswoman Laura Gillen, Congressman Josh Riley, Congressman Pat Ryan, and NYS Senator Bill Weber. The event focused on strengthening support for individuals with special needs and enhancing federal and state collaboration.
Following the roundtable, participants attended a groundbreaking ceremony for Camp HASC’s new Physical Therapy Center, funded through a New York State Assembly grant.
Speaking to Monsey Scoop, Senator Bill Weber said: “It was an honor to visit Camp HASC for their annual bipartisan legislative roundtable. The love and care they pour into serving the I/DD community is truly inspiring. Grateful to Board Chair Abe Eisner and the Kahn family for their extraordinary commitment to giving these children a joyful, meaningful summer.”
Camp HASC, part of The Hebrew Academy for Special Children, serves hundreds of children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities through residential programs, clinics, and its renowned summer camp.
