The Community Outreach Center will be hosting a Senior Medical Insurance Seminar on Tuesday, January 13, aimed at helping seniors and their families better understand medical insurance options and long-term financial planning.
The seminar will take place at 7:30 p.m. and will feature guidance from several experienced professionals. Rabbi Hersh Horowitz, Executive Director of the Community Outreach Center, will provide an overview of medical insurance options for seniors, including Medicare and Medicaid. Mark Leibowitz of SCS Pooled Trust will explain how pooled trusts can help individuals potentially qualify for Medicaid, while Sheldon Mayer, an estate planning attorney, will share important insights into elder law and future planning.
Organizers say the seminar is designed to offer clarity and peace of mind for seniors, as well as for children or proxies who assist parents with financial and medical decisions. The event is free of charge and is part of the Community Outreach Center’s ongoing efforts to expand and strengthen senior services in the community.
Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can be made by emailing lb@coconline.org or calling 845-356-9600.
