The Community Outreach Center has announced a special partnership with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to bring key ID services directly to the Monsey community.
On Thursday, October 30th, DMV staff will be available on-site at the Community Outreach Center, 21 Remsen Avenue (FedEx Room) from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM to process the following applications:
-
Non-Driver ID Cards (Photo ID)
-
Upgrades to Real ID or Enhanced ID for both driver and non-driver license holders
These upgraded IDs are now required for domestic air travel and to cross the border into Canada.
The event will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and no appointment is necessary. Attendees must bring original identification documents as outlined by DMV requirements, and all payments must be made by credit card.
In addition, representatives from Assemblyman Aron Wieder’s office will be present to assist residents with constituent services, including help with New York State agencies such as the Department of Labor.
Rabbi Hersh Horowitz, Executive Director of the Community Outreach Center, expressed gratitude to Governor Kathy Hochul’s office and Assemblyman Aron Wieder for their efforts in coordinating this valuable community service.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this convenient opportunity to apply for or upgrade their ID without needing to visit a DMV branch.
