The Community Outreach Center (COC) held a special luncheon on Monday afternoon, bringing together over 100 private Yeshiva administrators from across Rockland County. The event was organized to show appreciation for Congressman Mike Lawler and his continued support of private schools and community initiatives.
During the event, Congressman Lawler expressed his gratitude to COC’s director, Hersh Horowitz, and the gathered school administrators, acknowledging the importance of their contributions to the local educational landscape. “I want to thank Hershel Horowitz and all the private school administrators here today for their unwavering dedication to the future of our children,” said Congressman Lawler. “I’m excited to announce $1.6 million in funding to upgrade and expand the Community Outreach Center, ensuring we can continue to serve this growing community.”
Representatives at the luncheon represented a total of 36,000 students from Yeshivas throughout Rockland County.
Speaking to Monsey Scoop, Rabbi Hersh Horowitz, CEO of Community Outreach, remarked, “This support from Congressman Lawler is a game-changer for our community. With this expansion, we can provide even more resources and assistance to the families and schools that depend on us every day.”
