The Town of Clarkstown announced that Supervisor George Hoehmann was recognized by the Rockland Municipal Planning Federation with a Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to land use and zoning across Rockland County. The award, presented for Professional Service, highlights Hoehmann’s efforts in guiding smart growth, preserving community character, and advancing sustainable development to benefit both current residents and future generations.
The recognition ceremony was attended by several town officials and leaders, including Councilmembers Bob Axelrod and Jon Valentino, Town Planner Joe Simoes, Planning Board members Ed Bertolino, Roxy Perrone, Bonnie Werk, and Peter Streitman, ZBA Chair Scott Milich, ZBA member Nick Longo, Chief of Staff Al Moroni, Director of Finance Colin Schmitt, and Economic Development Director Jeff Gillies.
