Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann Announces 2026 Re-Election Campaign

George Hoehmann has formally announced his candidacy for re-election in 2026, seeking another term as Town of Clarkstown Supervisor. Hoehmann (R, C–New City) has served as Supervisor since 2015 and previously held roles as an elected member of the Town Board and an appointed member of the Planning Board. A Clarkstown native, he is running to continue what he describes as a proven bipartisan record of delivering results for residents across the town.

Hoehmann recently led what he called a historic re-election effort this past November, resulting in the first 5-0 GOP-majority Town Board in Clarkstown since the 1950s. However, changes in state law shortened all terms to one year, triggering a new town-wide election in 2026. Hoehmann said the strong mandate issued by voters just months ago continues to drive momentum heading into the upcoming race.

“It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve as Clarkstown Supervisor,” Hoehmann said. “Since day one, I have worked on behalf of all Clarkstown residents to deliver real results. My track record proves I am a bipartisan problem-solver who gets things done. It would be an honor to earn your vote once again to continue my bipartisan service on behalf of all residents.”

Highlighting accomplishments under his administration, Hoehmann pointed to historic code enforcement efforts that have led to the largest collection of fines in town history. He also announced plans to hire three additional code enforcement officers, which he says will create the largest code enforcement department in the region.

Hoehmann further cited cutting taxes twice, maintaining strong fiscal management, and achieving what he described as the highest bond rating in modern town history — measures he says have saved taxpayers money while preserving essential services. His administration has also conserved nearly 40 acres of open space and launched an aggressive land conservation initiative in the Hudson Valley, while expanding recreational opportunities at both existing and newly developed parks and cultural sites.

In addition, tens of millions of dollars have been invested in local infrastructure, supported by record grant funding. Hoehmann also emphasized investments in the Clarkstown Police Department, describing it as among the best-equipped and best-trained local police departments in the country.

“Let’s keep making Clarkstown the best community to live, work, raise a family, and retire in,” Hoehmann added. “I would be honored to have your vote and will work hard through November to earn it. As always, if there is anything I can ever help you with, please do not hesitate to reach out.”
