The Clarkstown Police Department has announced the graduation of three new officers following their successful completion of the Rockland County Police and Public Safety Academy.
Chief Wanamaker, along with Captain Fay and Captain Cummings, congratulated Officers Stanley Francois, Ryan Hennelly, and Joseph Caruso after they completed the academy’s intensive five-month training program. The officers are now fully sworn in and prepared to serve the Clarkstown community.
During the graduation ceremony at the Rockland County Police and Public Safety Academy, each recruit received special recognition for outstanding achievement. Officer Ryan Hennelly was awarded the Val Swartwout Award for Excellence in Medical Care, Officer Joseph Caruso received the Excellence in Firearms Award, and Officer Stanley Francois earned the Excellence in Physical Fitness Award.
The department also recognized the Clarkstown officers who served as drill instructors for the class: Chief Drill Instructor P.O. P. Tobin, Senior Drill Instructor P.O. A. Muscatella, and Drill Instructor P.O. K. McCahey, citing their leadership and dedication as instrumental to the recruits’ success.
Clarkstown Police officials congratulated the new officers and wished them continued success as they begin their careers serving the community.
