Clarkstown Police Sgt. Nick Veltri Retires After 26 Years Of Dedicated Service

After 26 years of dedicated service to the community, the Clarkstown Police Department is congratulating Sgt. Nick Veltri on his retirement.

Sgt. Veltri began his career with the department in January 2000 as a patrol officer. Throughout his tenure, he earned a reputation for professionalism, leadership, and unwavering commitment to public safety. In 2021, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and assigned to the Patrol Division, where he continued to lead by example while supervising officers on the road.

Beyond his patrol and supervisory duties, Sgt. Veltri played a critical role in training within the department. He served as both a firearms range instructor and CPR instructor, helping to prepare and mentor the next generation of officers and ensuring they were equipped with the skills necessary to serve the community safely and effectively.

Before joining the Clarkstown Police Department, Veltri dedicated himself to emergency medical services, serving as a paramedic in New York City and later as a lieutenant with Rockland Paramedic Services.

The department expressed its sincere gratitude for Sgt. Veltri’s decades of service and wished him a healthy, happy, and well-deserved retirement.
