The Clarkstown Police Department has announced the retirement of Sergeant Dan Burke, who is stepping down after more than 28 years of dedicated service to the community.
Sergeant Burke began his career with the department in July 1996 and was promoted to sergeant in 2014. Before joining the force, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
Throughout his tenure, Burke took on multiple critical roles, including serving on the department’s Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT), working with the Rockland County Narcotics Task Force, and being an esteemed member of the Honor Guard.
His dedication and valor were recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Medal of Valor and the Combat Cross.
The Clarkstown Police Department expressed its deep appreciation for Sergeant Burke’s service and extended best wishes as he transitions into retirement.
