Clarkstown Police Officer Mike Benzinger Retires After 27 Years Of Service

The Clarkstown Police Department is congratulating Police Officer Mike Benzinger on his retirement, marking the end of a distinguished 27-year career in law enforcement.

PO Benzinger began his service in December 1997 with the NYPD, where he was assigned to the 44th Precinct and worked the Yankee Stadium detail. In May 2005, he joined the Clarkstown Police Department.

From 2018 through 2022, he served as the School Resource Officer at Clarkstown North High School, where he became a trusted and familiar presence among students, staff, and families.

The department thanked Officer Benzinger for his dedication and commitment to public safety and wished him well as he enters retirement.
