Clarkstown Police Hosting Free Car Seat Safety Check in Bardonia This Sunday

The Clarkstown Police Department is inviting residents to a Free Child Car Seat Safety Inspection on Sunday, August 31st, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Nanuet Fire Department Substation, 11 Renee Lane, Bardonia.

The event, part of the department’s community policing efforts, will provide parents and caregivers with the opportunity to ensure their child car seats are properly installed and meet all safety requirements. Certified technicians will be on site to explain important safety features, review weight and height guidelines, and share best practices for car seat and general child passenger safety.

The safety checks are by appointment only. To schedule a time slot, residents can visit the Clarkstown Police Department’s child safety seat webpage at: clarkstown.gov/police/child-safety-seats.

Officials note that additional appointment opportunities will be offered in the future for those unable to attend this weekend’s event.
