Clarkstown Police Detective Charles “Chuck” Owens Retires After 34 Years In Law Enforcement

The Clarkstown Police Department has announced the retirement of Detective Charles “Chuck” Owens following an accomplished 34-year career in law enforcement. Owens began his service with the New York City Police Department in June 1992, eventually rising to the rank of sergeant before joining Clarkstown Police in August 2001. He was promoted to detective in 2012 and assigned to the Juvenile Aid Bureau, where he played a key role in protecting and supporting local youth.

Throughout his tenure, Detective Owens also served as a field training officer and was a member of several specialized units, including the Accident Investigation Team, Drone Unit, and Honor Guard. Colleagues credited his dedication and professionalism across multiple divisions of the department.

The department extended its congratulations and best wishes to Owens, thanking him for his decades of service and wishing him a healthy and well-deserved retirement.
