The Clarkstown Police Department announced the arrest of a West Nyack man in connection with a burglary at a restaurant in Rockland Plaza.
On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at approximately 10:15 a.m., officers responded to a report of a past burglary at 121 Rockland Plaza. The restaurant owner and employees told police that an unknown suspect had pried open the cash drawer of a front counter register and stolen an undisclosed amount of cash.
Detectives reviewed surveillance footage, which showed the suspect forcing entry through the back door shortly after 2:00 a.m. The suspect’s appearance and method of operation matched that of an individual linked to a similar burglary at a restaurant in Stony Point days later.
Working together with the Stony Point Police Department and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, detectives identified the suspect as 46-year-old Christopher Pascale of West Nyack. Pascale was taken into custody on August 25th and charged with:
-
Burglary 3rd (Felony)
-
Grand Larceny 4th (Felony)
-
Criminal Mischief (Misdemeanor)
-
Possession of Burglar’s Tools (Misdemeanor)
-
Criminal Possession of Stolen Property (Misdemeanor)
Pascale is scheduled to appear in Clarkstown Justice Court at a later date.
The Clarkstown Police Department expressed appreciation to the Stony Point Police and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the investigation.
Authorities remind the public that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
