Clarkstown Police Announce Retirement Of Lieutenant Joseph Dwyer After 28 Years Of Service

The Clarkstown Police Department has announced the retirement of Lieutenant Joseph Dwyer following more than 28 years of dedicated service to the Town of Clarkstown and the department.

Lieutenant Dwyer joined the Clarkstown Police Department in July 1997 and served honorably throughout his career in the Patrol Division. He was also a highly respected member of the Accident Investigation Unit, where he served as a team leader since 2012, contributing significantly to complex crash investigations and public safety efforts.

The department thanked Lieutenant Dwyer for his professionalism, leadership, and decades of commitment to the community, and extended best wishes to him and his family as he begins a well-earned and healthy retirement.
