Emergency personnel responded Monday morning to a construction site on Scotland Hill Road in Chestnut Ridge after a worker was injured when a concrete forming board fell on him while he was working on the fourth floor.
The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. and prompted a large emergency response from the South Spring Valley Fire Department, Monsey Fire Department, Hatzoloh EMS, Faist EMS, Ramapo Police Department, and Rockland Paramedics.
Following an hour-long rescue operation utilizing Monsey Fire Department’s ladder truck, the worker—who sustained a leg injury—was safely brought down and transported by Rockland Paramedics to Westchester Medical Center.
