A vital meeting was convened at the home of the Brecher family on Wednesday evening, focusing on the enhancement of parks and recreation facilities in response to the growing needs of children in the Haller Crescent, Jean Lane, Jacqueline Rd, and Pinebrook areas.
The meeting brought together a notable group of local leaders. Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht, his Chief of Staff Mona Montal, Chestnut Ridge Deputy Mayor Chaim Rose, Trustee Shmuli Fromovitz, and Rockland County Legislator Joel Friedman were all present.
Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht remarked, “Our community’s growth necessitates a parallel expansion in recreational spaces. We’re here to ensure that our children have ample and safe areas to play and grow.”
Chestnut Ridge Deputy Mayor Chaim Rose remarked, “I want to personally thank the Town of Ramapo for its commitment to enhancing parks and recreation facilities in the Village of Chestnut Ridge. Community engagement is critical, and it’s really appreciated that the Town Supervisor and Town Chief of Staff dedicated their valuable time to this effort. On behalf of the Chestnut Ridge residents, we extend our heartfelt thanks.”
Rockland County Legislator Joel Friedman spoke about the broader impact: “Enhancing our parks and recreation facilities not only benefits children but also adds to the overall health and well-being of our entire community.”
A local resident expressed profound gratitude towards the town, county, and village officials with heartfelt words: “I’m truly overwhelmed by the level of cooperation we’ve seen between elected officials and citizens here. It’s so rare to witness this. Usually, when you raise a concern or make a request, it feels like it goes into a void – you never hear back. But what happened here is different. People came together so swiftly, and the response from our officials was not just quick but also incredibly effective. It’s a refreshing change and something that deeply moves me. This kind of collaboration is what makes a community thrive.”
