A fire broke out Tuesday at approximately 12:35 PM on the second floor of a Hamaspik group home at 2 Wannamaker Court. Monsey Fire Department arrived within moments and quickly knocked down the flames, once again preventing a home from becoming fully engulfed. The call initially came in as an automatic alarm.
Ramapo Police, Faist EMS, and multiple mutual aid fire departments responded, along with Monsey FD’s RAC Unit (Rest and Comfort), which provided support to firefighters. Crews checked for extension, and no injuries were reported.
Just as with last night’s incident, Monsey Scoop reminds residents that if you have a fire emergency in Monsey, calling the Monsey Fire Department’s direct emergency hotline at 845-425-9300 can get help to you even faster.
