CHESTNUT RIDGE: Car Slams Into Home at Swallow Ave and Eagle St, Gas Leak Reported

Emergency personnel rushed to the intersection of Swallow Avenue and Eagle Street in Chestnut Ridge Friday afternoon after a vehicle lost control and slammed into a home, rupturing a gas line in the process.

The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m., prompting a swift response from Faist EMS, the Monsey Fire Department, and the Ramapo Police Department. Orange & Rockland Utilities was also dispatched to the scene to address the gas leak and ensure the area was secured.

Authorities are working to assess the damage and determine the cause of the crash. No injuries have been reported at this time.
