On Thursday, Chesed 24/7 held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its headquarters to unveil three new vehicles added to their fleet, marking a significant expansion of the organization’s capabilities. The event was attended by a host of elected officials from various levels of government, underscoring the broad support for Chesed 24/7’s vital work.
Notable attendees included Congressman Mike Lawler, Senator Bill Weber, Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht, Ramapo Police Chief Daniel Hyman, Village of New Square Mayor Izzy Spitzer, Village of Spring Valley Deputy Mayor Yisroel Eisenbach, and Rockland County Legislator Aron Wieder.
Following the ribbon-cutting, a luncheon was held where sponsors and officials received firsthand reports on the many ongoing projects by Chesed 24/7, which focuses on providing comprehensive support to the sick and their families.
The new vehicles, two of which are wheelchair accessible, will play a crucial role in delivering food to dozens of hospitals, transporting patients, and supporting the wide range of chesed services offered by the organization.
