At approximately 2:30 a.m. Monday, Chaverim of Rockland Night Watch volunteers observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Route 306.

The vehicle was seen driving recklessly, weaving in and out of lanes, and nearly causing multiple collisions before coming to a stop at the intersection of Route 306 and Grandview Avenue while still in reverse and facing the wrong direction. The driver was found asleep at the wheel.

Officers from the Ramapo Police Department responded to the scene and arrested the driver for DWI. Two passengers were also inside the vehicle, and all individuals were reportedly intoxicated.
