In a swift and coordinated effort, Chaverim of Rockland volunteers assisted in the arrest of a notorious local criminal known as “80 Twin.” Early Sunday morning, Chaverim Of Rockland’s hotline received a call about a male breaking into cars at Ternure Ave and South Cole Avenue, prompting the activation its members and local law enforcement.
Although the suspect was briefly released after nothing was stolen from the vehicles, Chaverim volunteers relayed crucial information to authorities, revealing an active warrant out of the Town of Clarkstown.
This information led to a second encounter with the suspect, resulting in his arrest at Maple Avenue and Jeffrey Place, with Clarkstown Police responding to the scene.
Community members commended the Chaverim volunteers for their quick thinking and dedication to safety. The apprehension of “80 Twin” underscores the significance of community collaboration with law enforcement, ensuring the well-being of the neighborhood’s residents.
