Chaverim of Rockland volunteers, along with members of the Ramapo Police Department and Spring Valley Police Department, participated Thursday night in a terrorism prevention training led by Ethan Erlich, Regional Security Director at the Community Security Initiative (CSI).
The training, titled “Introduction to the Terrorist Attack Cycle (AWR-334),” was presented through the Cybersecurity &Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Office for Bombing Prevention and took place at Bais Yakkov of Spring Valley on Smolley Drive.
The 90-minute instructor-led session focused on understanding how terrorist attacks are planned and executed, identifying terrorism-related threats, and learning methods to help prevent attacks before they occur. The course also included information regarding threats involving Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
The class brought together volunteers and law enforcement officers for hands-on public safety education and preparedness training aimed at strengthening community awareness and response capabilities.
