In a remarkable act of dedication late Sunday evening, Chaverim of Rockland volunteers sifted through a garbage dumpster on Elm Street to recover a bag containing the wallet, cash, credit cards, and personal belongings of the Banaya Rebbe of Spring Valley.
The Rebbe had misplaced the bag containing the important items on Erev Shabbos, and it was mistakenly thrown out by a housekeeper. Upon realizing the loss, Chaverim volunteers were called in and spent several hours painstakingly sorting through garbage until they successfully located and retrieved the bag.
In a statement to Monsey Scoop, the Banaya Rebbe thanked the Chaverim volunteers for their tireless efforts in returning his personal belongings, expressing his deep appreciation for their dedication and assistance.
The Rebbe was filled with joy and gratitude upon receiving the recovered items.
