On Wednesday evening, Chaverim Of Rockland held a Kevias Mezuzah and L’Chaim marking the opening of its new Dispatch Center at the organization’s headquarters.
Chaverim Of Rockland, which operates as part of the Town of Ramapo Office of Emergency Preparedness, welcomed Rabbonim and community leaders who came to celebrate the milestone and recognize the organization’s vital work throughout Rockland County.
The organization’s Rav, HaRav Chaim Feivel Schnebalg Shlita, affixed the main Mezuzah at the entrance to the new dispatch center. Additional Rabbonim joined for a L’Chaim and offered words of praise for Chaverim and its dedicated volunteers, with particular emphasis on the critical role played by the dispatchers, where every call for assistance begins.
The new center represents a major step forward for Chaverim Of Rockland’s operations, providing a dedicated space for dispatchers to coordinate the hundreds of calls the organization handles on a daily basis and helping ensure a faster, more organized response to residents in need.
Immediately following the Kevias Mezuzah, the new dispatch center officially went into operation, with the first calls dispatched from the facility.
