Chaverim Of Rockland Inaugurates Three New Emergency Response Vehicles

With numerous influential officials present, Chaverim of Rockland inaugurated three new emergency response vehicles on Tuesday afternoon at RHP Ace Hardware Parking Lot on Robert Pitt Drive.

The three new vehicles are: Vehicle Rescue-1, donated by RHP Ace Hardware, Pyramid Plumbing Supply, and Luxury Kosher Villas; Vehicle 901, donated by Mendy’s Mobile Tires; and Vehicle 912, donated by Satmar Philanthropist Reb Yisroel Schiff, from the Roshei Kehila of K’hal Yetev Lev Satmar Monsey.

The event, emceed By Business Strategist and Activist Yossi Gestetner, saw the participation of Rockland County Legislator Aaron Wieder, Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael B. Specht, Ramapo Police Chief Martin Reilly, Spring Valley Police Chief Richard Oleszczuk, Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh, Senator Bill Weber, and Luis Barcia representing Congressman Mike Lawler, among others, all of whom came to express their appreciation for Chaverim’s work.

Pointing at the vehicles, Spring Valley Police Chief Richard Oleszczuk said, “They’re nice, but it’s metal, it’s plastic, it’s rubber – they mean nothing without the people who are in them who really serve the community.”

“I’d like to thank everybody who will be driving those vehicles to help the community Spring Valley,” he added. “It’s probably more important than ever to be unselfish, to be full of teamwork, and to serve your community.”

“Chaverim members, thank you for all that you do for our community,” expressed Ramapo Police Chief Martin Reilly. “You guys are amazing. You’re there for us 24/7, you do a lot for the police department, and you do it [above and] beyond.”

“This is a great moment for Chaverim, and more importantly, for the safety of all residents of the Town of Ramapo. We know the amazing work Chaverim does every day… and the selfless dedication of all its volunteers,” said Town Supervisor Michael Specht. “Seeing these new vehicles shows not only the generosity of the donors – which is so inspiring for all of us – but also shows the good use to which they will be put.”

“What is Chaverim?” Rockland DA Tom Walsh rhetorically asked. “It is the people I see in front of me. The people that come out day and night to serve their community. Just as important, if not more important [than these new vehicles] is the people of Chaverim.”

This ribbon cutting ceremony event was done by the famous White Glass Events.
