On Monday afternoon, Chaverim of Rockland aided in the apprehension of a notorious package thief in Spring Valley. The incident occurred near South Cole Avenue when Chaverim received a hotline call reporting a theft in progress.
Chaverim volunteers quickly responded, canvassing the area where the suspect was last seen. They maintained visual contact as the suspect attempted to flee a few blocks away.
Spring Valley police were alerted and arrived promptly at 105 South Lake Street, where they arrested the suspect.
The Homeowner whose package was stolen, expressed his gratitude, telling Monsey Scoop, “I’m incredibly thankful to Chaverim of Rockland and the Spring Valley Police for their swift action. It’s reassuring to know that our community is protected by such dedicated and vigilant individuals.”
