On Sunday, Chasdei Lev held a large-scale food distribution event at Clover Stadium, drawing the participation of notable community leaders. Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht, Senator Bill Weber, Rockland County Legislator Aron Wieder, Chestnut Ridge Deputy Mayor Chaim Rose, and Trustee Shmuli Fromowitz were in attendance, alongside numerous volunteers who worked tirelessly to support the initiative.
The food distribution was organized in honor of Rebbeim and Moros, celebrating their unwavering dedication to education with an expression of gratitude.
“It was a pleasure to once again volunteer for Chasdei Lev at their pre-holiday food distribution for several hours on Sunday,” said Senator Bill Weber. “I was particularly impressed with the multitude of dedicated volunteers, some of whom were there working tirelessly for nearly twenty-four hours straight.”
Chasdei Lev is committed to supporting Rebbeim, Moros, and their families by helping them prepare for Yom Tov without the burden of financial stress. By partnering with yeshivas and utilizing bulk purchasing from manufacturers, Chasdei Lev enables educators to access essential food and household items at significantly reduced costs.
To date, Chasdei Lev’s initiatives have positively impacted more than 35,000 educators across the globe, offering much-needed relief to those who dedicate their lives to teaching.
Former State Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick, speaking to Monsey Scoop, expressed his regret for being unable to attend the distribution on Sunday, as he was out of town attending a family wedding. However, he praised Chasdei Lev for their remarkable work. “Chasdei Lev is truly there for the educators of our youth, ensuring they have the resources they need during critical times. Their dedication through initiatives like this food distribution is inspiring and makes a real difference in the lives of those who give so much to our community,” he said.
