The Rockland County Legislature has unanimously confirmed the appointment of Ari Rosenblum, CEO of the Jewish Federation and Foundation of Rockland County (JFF), to the Rockland County Human Rights Commission. Rosenblum’s extensive background in nonprofit leadership and community engagement makes him a valuable addition to the commission.
“On behalf of all of my legislative colleagues, I want to thank Ari Rosenblum for so generously giving of his time and expertise to serve on the Human Rights Commission,” said County Legislature Chairman Jay Hood Jr. “We all love our county. Strengthening the connections between residents to make a better and more resilient community is a very positive goal.”
Rosenblum, who joined JFF in 2021, has consistently described himself as a “bridge-builder,” a role he has embraced in his efforts to foster dialogue among Rockland County’s diverse communities. His aim has always been to promote understanding, tolerance, and inclusivity while addressing the needs of all residents. These principles align closely with the mission of the Rockland County Human Rights Commission.
His leadership and commitment to combating hate and bias are further exemplified by his 2023 appointment to the Hudson Valley Hate and Bias Prevention Council under New York State’s Division of Human Rights. Additionally, Rosenblum has a rich history of spiritual and community leadership, having served as the spiritual leader of Beth Ezekiel Synagogue in Owen Sound, Ontario, for 12 years, and as an active member of The Riverdale Minyan in Riverdale, NY.
Beyond his professional and community contributions, Rosenblum is a devoted family man. He resides in Rockland County with his wife Michelle, their young daughter, and is a proud father of five.
