Central Nyack Set for Green Transformation with New Community Garden

Supervisor George Hoehmann and Councilmen Don Franchino and Mike Graziano have announced the allocation of a $200,000 Rockland Resilient Recreation Grant to develop a community garden in Central Nyack. This new green space will be situated on town-owned land adjacent to county walking trails.

The garden is designed to be a communal hub, featuring raised beds for gardening, sensory areas for children, and a greenhouse. It will serve as an educational and recreational venue for summer campers, local schools, and scout groups.

The Town is gearing up to break ground in the coming months and will soon share how residents can get involved in this enriching project. Keep an eye out for future announcements on this exciting development in Central Nyack’s community offerings.
