TRAGIC UPDATE -BDE: Jewish Man Gershon (Garry) Tarshish, Identified as Victim in Stonehurst Court Fire

Sadly, the victim of a structure fire on Stonehurst Court near Pomona Road has been identified as a Jewish person. Sources tell Monsey Scoop that his name is Gershon (Garry) Tarshish, and was approximately 70 years of age, Misaskim and Chesed Shel Emes are working to ensure proper Kavod Hames. The victim was reportedly living alone and there was no one in the home at the time of the blaze.

A structure fire on Stonehurst Court near Pomona Road took a tragic turn when firefighters found a body inside the burned home. The incident prompted an investigation by local authorities.

The fire, which erupted earlier today, drew a rapid response from emergency personnel who battled the blaze. Sadly, amidst the charred remains of the house, a lifeless body was discovered.

Authorities are now working diligently to uncover the circumstances surrounding the fire and the identity of the victim.
