This week, bochurim from Yeshivas Horei Bashomayim D’Stree of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, visited the New York State Capitol during their bein hazmanim (intersession) break. The group, with students from Brooklyn and Rockland County, toured the capitol thanks to Assemblyman Aron Wieder (D-97th District), a dedicated public servant.
Wieder addressed the students in the Assembly chamber, starting with a dvar Torah and explaining the legislative process. The bochurim’s respectful conduct made a notable kiddush Hashem, reflecting the yeshiva’s values during this intersession outing.
So how did the women like the tour? Um, oh, wait…
I wish Aeon would also take different groups to Albany. I would go.
