On Tuesday morning at approximately 9:44 a.m., the Blauvelt Volunteer Fire Company, Orangetown Police Department, and South Orangetown Ambulance Corps responded to a report of a car struck by a train at 400 Oritani Drive.
Upon arrival, police confirmed there were no injuries and no entrapment. Firefighters quickly worked to contain minor fluid leaks from the vehicle, while EMS personnel evaluated the driver at the scene.
The incident was ultimately turned over to the Orangetown Police Department for further investigation.
