A major milestone was marked for the Belzer Kehila in Monsey as Belzer Rebbe performed the Hanochas Even HaPina for the new Belzer Talmud Torah building in Monsey, a major project expected to cost approximately $20 million.
Kehila leaders and prominent supporters from Belz Monsey who recently traveled to Eretz Yisroel entered for a special audience with the Rebbe, during which they pledged a joint donation of $10 million to fund the first phase of construction for the new talmud torah building.
The donors, who traveled to participate in the “Heichala D’Malka” Shabbos, used the opportunity to share the news with the Rebbe, an announcement that has generated excitement among Belzer Chassidim worldwide.
The contribution is separate from and in addition to the supporters’ donations connected to the special Shabbos.
Although the new building is being constructed in Monsey, the symbolic Hanochas Even HaPina was carried out by the Rebbe in Eretz Yisroel, while preparations and concrete work at the future site in Monsey are expected to move ahead in the coming weeks.
The donors are expected to personally finance the initial phase of construction as a gesture of appreciation to the Rebbe for his decades of dedication and mesiras nefesh in building and strengthening the Belzer kehilla around the world.

On N. Cole right across the street of the current building (at the dead end).
Wherever it is built, it will be a disaster. No more room anywhere.
